Uttar Pradesh Technical University has been setup by the Government of U. P. on 8th May 2000 vide Act no. 1248(2) XVII-V-I-I-19-2000 Uttar Pradesh Adhiniyam Sankhaya 23 of 2000. At the dawn of new Millennium the University has been established as the seat of learning by imparting a well coordinated. multi-disciplinary quality education in the fast changing scenario, and to accelerate the advancement and development of technical education for matters connected therewith . The jurisdiction of the Uttar Pradesh Technical University extends to whole of the state of Uttar Pradesh.
University Act reads "Technical Education" means Programme of the Education, Research and Training in Engineering, Technology, Architecture, Town Planning, Pharmacy, Applied Arts & Crafts and such others Programmes and area as the Central Government may in consultation with all India Council for Technical Education, by notification in Gazette declare .
All the College of Engineering, Management, Pharmacy, Architecture, and Technology, formerly affiliated to various universities, have been affiliated to the U. P. Technical University.
The University is highly dedicated to present new vision and Excellency in the field of Technical Education. The main object of the University lies in upgrading the standard of the Education, Training and Research, for the achievement of Technical learning by taming the assistance of the Industries properly.
The U.P. Technical University spreading over the entire region of U. P., is a Universe itself spreading from Gazipur in the East to Noida adjacent of Delhi in the West from Jhansi in south to Saharanpur in North, The University in all four corners covers around five thousand Squire Kilometers and it is a unique example of its own. The University has to its credit to be the biggest Technical University in Asia.
The Uttar Pradesh Technical University not only conducts the biggest Examination in the field of Technical Education, it also declares in each semester the result of around 2.5 Lacks students in various disciplines in record time, approximately within one and half months. the way University is progressing, it appears that in a very short period it is going to achieve the status of the most advanced and dignified University imparting technical education to coming generation of the nation.
